Automating call creation in HubSpot

While editing your HubSpot integration’s settings, you can automatically create call activities related to inbound calls on your tracking numbers. This makes these calls’ data automatically up to date and available in your HubSpot account.

To do this, click on Configure for HubSpot in the Integrations tab. Then, in the edition form, get to the Call Creation in HubSpot part.

First, select the call owner. In your HubSpot account, inbound calls will be automatically attributed to this user. Here, the users who can be selected as call owners are actually the users declared in your HubSpot account.

You can also edit answered and missed call outcomes. These are the call results shown in your HubSpot account when a call is received and saved as answered or missed in Call Tracking. To do this, select the options to display for both fields. The options for call outcomes are existing values in your HubSpot account that can be customized.

Then, for each inbound call, an activity is created in real time in your HubSpot account. This activity contains a lot of various call data, depending on the type of call tracking you are using:

  • Data about the call (date and time, duration, …)
  • If you use dynamic call tracking by traffic source, the traffic source where the caller came from
  • If you use dynamic call tracking by web session, the list of web pages seen by the caller
